TO SECURE A BOOKING:
Once an appointment has been agreed upon, a 30% deposit for hair and makeup bookings is required and the balance is then due a week before via direct deposit. Once a deposit has been received your booking is then secure. You will receive confirmation of your booking.
Cancellations made with 8 weeks or more notice, we will refund 50% of your deposit. Any cancellations with less than 8 weeks notice, the deposit is not refundable. Cancellations with 48 hours or less notification the client agrees to pay 100% immediately to Claire Allen. Claire will have turned away other work and unfortunately this loss of income will have to be covered – sorry no exceptions.
TO MAKE A CANCELLATION:
If the cancellation notification is 72 hours or less, the only acceptable method of cancellation is via a telephone call/text to 0274436854. For 72 hours or more, an email is acceptable.
Claire reserves the right to cancel any booking and provide email notification of doing so, if a booking is in breach of these terms. No booking is confirmed unless Claire specifies so in written form.
Claire only uses high quality, professional products for all of her makeup and hairstyling services and will not under any circumstances, be responsible for any allergic reactions to products used. Please notify her if you have particular hypersensitivity that you are aware of and every effort will be made to accommodate this. Should you bring your own product that you are familiar with, Claire would be happy to use the product for you.

Q) I am getting married next year, do I need to have a trial?
A) I would highly recommend it. A trial gives us the opportunity to meet, discuss and try out your ideas for your bridal look. It will give you peace of mind knowing that we are well prepared and have a definite plan of action to allow your day to run smoothly. Sometimes we can have an idea that we think will look fabulous but may not be achievable without prior preparation, a trial takes out the surprise element of what you will look like on your wedding day allowing you to relax and enjoy the celebration.
Q) Do you do hair and makeup on location?
A) I am more than happy to travel to a location of your choosing to prepare you for an event. Please contact me directly to discuss travel costs.
Q) What hair and makeup products do you use?
A)I only work with professional quality brands such as Joico, Kerastase, Loreal, Matrix, Redken and Schwarzkopf. Makeup products I use are MAC, Smashbox, Loreal, Urban Decay and Estee Lauder.
Q) I have a large bridal party and I am worried about getting ready on time, is there anything you can do to help me with this?
A) Yes, for a large group booking I will bring experienced assistant/s with me to ensure you are ready on time. I also create a customised timetable in consultation with you prior to the day to ensure that each person knows what time their services will take place.
Q) Do I need to wash my hair prior to a trial or event
A) Yes, please wash your hair the night before Claire arrives. Please ensure your hair is dry and has no product in it. It would also be ideal if you could flat iron your hair the night before.
Apply a light moisturiser to the face but NO makeup
Q) What methods of payment do you accept?
A) Direct deposit is the only method of payment accepted. Direct deposit details will be supplied to you when you make your booking.
